If you’re using an Android phone or tablet, you can add more than one Google account to your device. Adding multiple Google accounts to your Android device is useful if you use more than one Google account for several different Google services, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar or maybe you have a different Gmail address for professional use and have a separate set of contacts associated with that account.
The below instructions use Nexus 7 as an example for adding another Google account to a Google device.
To do this, swipe down from the top panel on the home screen and touch “Settings.”
Scroll down to the “Accounts” section and touch “Add account.”
On the “Add an account” dialog box, touch “Google.”
The “Add a Google Account” screen displays allowing you to either add an existing account or create a new one to add to the device. So if you want to add existing account, touch “Existing.”
On the “Sign in” screen, enter your email address and password for the account you want to add. Once the information has been entered, the right arrow activates. Touch the right arrow to continue.
Touch OK to close the dialog box.
The “Signing in” screen displays while you are being signed in to your account.
On the “Google services” screen you can choose whether you want communications from Google Play about news and offers. If you don’t want Google to send you messages about news and offers, select the “Keep me up to date with news and offers from Google Play” check box so there’s no check mark in the box. Touch the right arrow at the bottom of the screen to continue.
If you want to use buy things in the Google Play Store using this account, you can set up payment information. To add your billing information, touch “Add credit or debit card,” follow the instructions to enter your information, and then touch “Continue.” If you don’t want to use this account to buy items, touch “SKIP” at the bottom of the screen.
The “Account sign-in successful” screen should display indicating that you are now signed into your additional account. You are presented a list of all possible Google items you can sync for this account. By default, they are all selected (checked). Uncheck items you do not wish to sync for this account and then touch the right arrow.
You are returned to the “Settings” screen. Touch the “Home” button or the “Back” button to return to the Home screen.
By following these steps you have successfully added Google account to your Nexus.
