When you “finish” a jar of peanut butter, there’s always a little bit left in the jar no matter how hard you try to scoop it out. Instead of letting those dregs go to waste, you can use it all up to make a tasty cup of peanut butter hot chocolate.
In this video, Leslie Stephens at Food52 shows how you can even use the peanut butter jar itself for the mixing. Warm up some milk in the microwave or on the stove, but don’t bring it to a boil. Add some hot cocoa mix and a little sugar to the jar, then pour the milk on top of it. Put the lid back on the jar and shake it up. Just like that you have a hot, flavorful beverage that Reese himself would be envious of, and no more wasted peanut butter. You can also use the same method with an almost empty jar of Nutella.
