Adding multiple Google accounts to your Samsung device is useful if you use more than one Google account for several different Google services, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar or maybe you have a different Gmail address for professional use and have a separate set of contacts associated with that account.
On a Samsung device, such as a Galaxy Note 4, the process of adding multiple Google accounts is following:
Swipe down from the top panel on the home screen and then touch the “Settings” (gear) button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
On the “Settings” screen, scroll down to the “Account” section and then touch “Accounts.”
Scroll down to the bottom of the “Accounts” screen and touch “Add account.”
The “Add a Google Account” screen displays allowing you to either add an existing account or create a new one to add to the device. For our example, we will show you how to add an existing account, so touch “Existing.”
On the “Sign in” screen, enter your email address and password for the account you want to add. Once the information has been entered, the right arrow activates. Touch the right arrow to continue.
A dialog box displays saying that you agree to Terms of Service for Google, Chrome, and Google Play, Privacy Policy for Google and the Privacy Notice for Chrome by continuing.
Touch OK to close the dialog box.
The “Signing in” screen displays while you are being signed in to your account.
The “Account sign-in successful” screen should display indicating that you are now signed into your additional account. You are presented a list of all possible Google items you can sync for this account. By default, they are all selected (checked). Uncheck items you do not wish to sync for this account and then touch the right arrow.
When you are done and returned to the “Settings” screen, touch the “Back” button on your device twice or the “Home” button once to return to the Home screen.
You can also use Gmail to add an additional Google account to your device. Open the Gmail app and touch the menu icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Then, touch “Add account” on the menu that opens.
On the “Add account” dialog box, make sure “Google” is selected and then touch “OK.”
The procedure is the same as for a Google device and a Samsung device.
Now you can view information for Google Services for all accounts added to the device. Note that you need to select to sync the different services for each account you add. If you try to access a service for an email address for which you did not choose to sync information, you will be prompted to sync that service.
