DIY cookie cutter

If you want to have unique shape cookies, or simply surprise your guests with interesting forms of homemade cookies, this tutorial is for you.

You will need:

  • Empty and clean can of juice
  • Sharp scissors
  • Ruler
  • marker
  • pliers

Remove the top and bottom of the cans with scissors. Cut the resulting cylindrical form and straighten it out to get the tin in the form of a rectangle. Draw a straight line on the sheet metal with a marker and a ruler. You want the strips to have the width of about 2 to 2.5 cm. You’ll get two strips, two rectangles of about 2.5 cm widths.

Fold the tin on the shorter sides of the tin rectangle. Place the ruler at a distance of 1 cm from the edge, and fold the tin with scissors or similar object. Repeat the process on the other side of the rectangle. Remove the ruler and press and flat the folds.  Cut, divide the rectangle into two parts – as you draw a marker. Fold the tin in the format you want and join them, incorporate compiling folded ends.
