Many believe that the chicken soup is an excellent remedy for stuffy nose. Adding hot peppers in chicken soup helps open up the sinuses and reduce inflammation. Many other spicy foods help with nasal congestion.

The inhalation of menthol essential oil may temporarily open the nasal mucosa. Sprinkle two drops of essential oil of mint on Kleenex, and place as closer to the nose handkerchief as possible and simply inhale.

Drinking hot drinks, especially green tea can help with stuffy nose. Avoid coffee and other caffeinated beverages consumption because it can cause deterioration of the situation.

If you have a stuffy nose, you can try a warm shower. Steam shower opens up the nasal passages.

Tomato juice helps in opening of the sinuses, and gives the body a large dose of vitamin C, which improves immunity.

Garlic is also great medicine in fights against infection. Make hot sauce of garlic and serve it warm with favorite foods.

Boil two cups of water with eight drops of tea tree oil. Pour boiling water into the pan, put a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Just be careful that you do not burn on the vapor.

Prevention of nasal congestion can be very easy.  Maintain your home a pleasantly moist, especially in the winter period, because dry air contributes to inflammation. House should always be kept clean, and that condition reduces the spread of allergens. Consume plenty of vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system and prevents colds
