Oneplus One (OPO) is the Chinese smartphone that directly attacks the flagship devices, even the best and most expensive models of world-renowned brands. Oneplus One has one and only one task and that is to offer everything that offers world-renowned brand but at a much lower cost that are around 300$. Here are reviews of what you will find out everything you want to know about the device.
Design
The followers of the Chinese techno brand Oppo will recognize Oppo Find 7 traces in the new OPO when it comes to design. The main design characteristics of the OPO smartphone design is that in first glace it appear like a rather big polycarbonate machine of incredible 5.5-inch display and up to 71.9% screen-to-body ratio.
The device has plenty of extra space above and below the screen, what makes it seem a little too big. A neat addition to the device is a LED notification lamp on the upper front part of the phone. The upper front part of the device also contains sensors and around the front camera. The lower front side of the device holds 3 navigation buttons with weak and hardly notable light, that make it the same fault as in case of Oppo Find 7.
Back part of the device is slightly curved and covered with polycarbonate back cover with matt final coat that makes it completely resistant to fingerprints and much nicer to hold. The back part of the mobile device holds a solid 13 MP camera with dual LED flash below, another secondary microphone.
Quality of the plastic phone is quite high and definitely has nothing to do with what you would call a typical Chinese device. The device is pretty compact and you can’t find any crunches. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, which is certainly a good addition.
Screen
As mentioned, OPO has incredible 5,5 inch screen. The screen is IPS LCD with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 which gives generous ~ 401 points per inch. It is a large-screen display superior sharpness, vivid colors, excellent readability of the widest viewing angles and a solid level of maximum brightness indoors and outdoors. Gorilla Glass 3 protections it is definitely a plus.
Camera
Oneplus One has two pretty good cameras. On the back is a 13 MP camera with dual LED flash that supports 4K video. The main camera has a Sony 13 MP sensor, optics made up of six elements and aperture is f / 2.0, which should provide a pretty good photo in low light conditions. Front camera is also very good 5 megapixel wide-angle camera for video chat and selfie and records in 1080p quality.
The “engine”
Oneplus One is a very interesting device in the software sense because it is the first official CyanogenMod device in the world.
The device is based on Android OS, v4.4.2 KitKat, and upgradable to v4.4.4 KitKat, and a Quad-core of good 2.5 GHz with Snapdragon 801.
It’s most important feature is the excellent flexibility because the lock screen and home screen along with all icons can be changed by selecting themes, styles, fonts, animations, sounds and just everything. The various topics are available through the application Themes Showcase. The user interface supports various languages.
