
If you cannot take the time to go to the spa, then you can pamper your feet at home because they definitely need and deserve the extra care, especially during the warm months. In addition to swelling, the warm weather arises additional problems, primarily sweating and we all know that wet feet are the foundation for the development of fungal infections. All this can be prevented with a few drops of essential oils a few drops of essential oil of mint and eucalyptus will refresh your tired feet
Aroma therapists recommend three recipes based on salt and essential oils that can relax your tired and swollen feet, prevent bacterial infection, and sweating after just 15 minutes.
You will basically need the same things for all three baths, and these are container in which you’ll soak your feet, warm water and a handful or two of sea salt.
Soft skin bath
If your skin is dry, put a half a spoon of olive oil in a bath. Before the baths, you can make a peeling and get rid of dead skin cells and prepare the foot to better absorb the precious essential oils in which you’ll immerse them.
Prepare this easy peeling:
- sea salt fist
- tablespoons of olive oil
- mix the salt with oil and rub this mixture well before the immerging the feet into a bath
Bath for tired feet
- a basin with hot water
- a handful or two of sea salt
- 3-4 drops of essential oil of mint and eucalyptus will refresh your tired feet
Antibacterial bath
- a basin with hot water
- a handful or two of sea salt
- 3-4 drops of tea tree oil and lavender have antibacterial properties
Antiperspirant bath
- a basin with hot water
- a handful or two of sea salt
- 3 – 4 drops of essential oil of citronella and lemongrass act against sweating
