Instead of purchasing color and various stickers, this year try something different and natural. For natural this type of coloring eggs you can use foods you probably have at your home, and each of those natural colored eggs will sure make your work that much more unique and special. Further, it is fun for all, especially children who will learn something new and fun. After preparing the color, plunge the eggs for few minutes in that preparation and enjoy. Here is how you can get the certain colors.
Bright Yellow – 3 tablespoons of turmeric or saffron powder, add in 1 L of water. Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
Yellow-Orange – Boil 1 liter of water in the crust of the 12 red onions of medium size, and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
Orange – In 1 L of water, add 5 tablespoons of sweet red peppers, and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
Red – canned cherries and cherry juice
Dark red – canned red beet added in cranberry juice
Bright Pink – mix about 100 g frozen sour cherries, blueberries or strawberries in a blender, and add about 400 ml of water. Boil and drain hot. Toss the remains of the fruit.
Hot Pink– mix 300 ml of beetroot juice with 300 ml of cranberry juice.
Light Green – 2 handfuls of lavender flowers or 1 pack of green tea mix with twice a small amount of ground sage leaves and cook in half a liter of water.
Green Grass – mix 100 g spinach leaves and frozen blueberries, chop them in a blender and add 1 liter of juice of blueberries, boil, strain the liquid and add 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder.
Blue – chop a medium size red cabbage and drizzle with 1 L of water and bring to boil. In a blender, mix about 100 g of frozen blueberries and add about 400 ml of water. Boil and drain hot. Use only the liquid.
Grey Blue – chop 100g of frozen blueberries in a blender and add 400 ml of juice of blueberries. Boil and drain hot. Toss the remains of the fruit.
Purple – canned red beet and beetroot juice, juice of red grapes, red cabbage
Grey – 100 g frozen sour cherries and blueberries chop in a blender. Add about 400 ml of water. Boil and drain while still hot.
Brown – mix 2 tablespoons of ground coffee with 300 ml of very strong cold or hot coffee and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
