DIY Faux Capiz Chandelier

If you are tired of your old and slightly outdated chandelier, and you want to make something that presents your romantic and creative individuality, we have a perfect DIY project for you.

  • Parchment paper
  • Wax paper
  • Old lampshade frame
  • Circle punch
  • Paint spray (optionally)
  • Needles
  • Thread

Step 1:
Start the project by removing all the eventual glue or fabric leftovers from the lampshade and spray the lampshade with a spray paint. Allow it to dry.

Step 2:
Take the parchment and the wax paper and fold them so that you place 2 layers of wax paper between the 2 layers of parchment paper and simply ironing them.

Step 3:
Use the circle punch to cut the papers in the circles.

Step 4:
Stitch the circle paper with a needle and a thread so that you punch a hole on the bottom and upper part of the circle and continue doing this on the same thread in order to make circler line that would be hanging from the chandelier.

Step 5:
Tie the circler lines on the lampshade with regular double knots.

Step 6:
Drill the holes on witch you are going to fix the lampshade.
