Many people hate something or someone in their work. This is not good for several reasons. The fact is that it’s hard to go to work every day and even harder if you hate your job. There are steps you can and should do if you hate your job and you are not happy at work. Here are some of the tips you should have in mind, if you do really, really hate your job.
- 1. Think of what you want
Focus on what you want instead of how much you want to escape from that job. When you think how much you want to change jobs, replace the thought with imagining what you would actually like to be doing instead.
- 2. Develop some skills
Treat yourself with every seminar that is offered in the company. Enter the courses, further education, and attend online courses. In this way you will be more competitive on the work market, and you can truly find out what kind of a job would actually make you happy.
- 3. Focus on the pleasure
People often say that they do not have the time to do anything else, besides the obligations they are already having. If you are one of those people, slow down and reduce a little. If you do not like the job you are doing, feel free to pull it out a bit. You do not need to be perfect. If you expect that you will because of that get fired or even consider quitting, make finding a new job become your most important job. But make sure to be ethical and do at least minimum to earn your paycheck. You will probably find that way and achieve more, so do not be surprised when you get a raise or be promoted.
- 4. Reconsider your inner state
Think about what it characterizes your current job and why do you want a new one. If the reason is due to the unfairness in the organization, consider if it is not a reflection of your inner state. If it seems that everyone is gaining promotion through certain connections, maybe it is because you also wish to be promoted in such a way, and in fact you do not have the strong ties.
- 5. Isolate
Everyone should learn how to isolate themselves and make a small shelter in order to repeal all eventual negativities from the surroundings. In this way, you will avoid taking business to serious and too private. Every day, when you get to work take a two to three minutes for strengthening your isolation armor.
- 6. Pamper yourself
During office hours, take at least half an hour to surf the Internet, call your mom on account of the company, friend … Use the gift certificates that company has been given, discounts at clubs, etc …
- 7. Concentrate on positive aspects
Maybe you have a beautiful view, nice office, a little longer break, pleasant fellow … and certainly in your business has something that you like. Use those small pleasures to motivate yourself and to make your job bearable.
- 8. Think less about the work
Let your thoughts focus on good things like your family, children, love or whatever makes you happy. When you close the door of the office, close it in your head.
- 9. Divide your time equally
Draw a circle on the paper and divide into 6 equal parts. In each section, type one of the following terms: love, career, family, personal development, hobbies and friends and devote all these sections equal time. Nothing is more important or less important. For true happiness is necessary to have all of this all in equal amount.
